Our commissioning engineers carried out extensive functional and protection testing using advanced relay test sets, ensuring every feeder, breaker, and control circuit operates precisely as designed. A 70kW Combined Heat and Power (CHP) unit turning agricultural waste into reliable, grid-compliant electricity and heat — fully signed off by SSE. Overview In a major step forward for sustainable energy innovation, our team recently completed a successful test and commissioning of a 70kW Combined Heat and Power (CHP) unit — a cutting-edge system designed to generate clean electricity and heat entirely from agricultural waste. This project showcases how advanced renewable technology can turn everyday farm by-products into reliable, eco-friendly energy solutions. About the Project The newly installed CHP system operates using waste cow muck as its primary fuel source, demonstrating the enormous potential of waste-to-energy systems in reducing carbon emissions and maximizing resource efficiency. Imported directly from Belgium, this unit represents some of the most advanced engineering in renewable power generation currently available in Europe. The testing phase was carried out meticulously, ensuring every performance and safety standard was met. The results exceeded expectations — the system achieved a consistent 70kW output, proving both its reliability and efficiency in converting waste materials into usable energy.
